OKAKARARA - The Okakarara Vocational Training Centre through its production units heeded to the call of the Namibian government by taking up the construction of ablution facilities at a number of schools in the Khomas region. The facilities are erected to mitigate the effects of COVID 19 amongst learners at the various schools.
The ablution facilities are constructed in conjunction with the Khomas Regional Council office in Windhoek.
All the projects are on course and two will be completed soonest, whilst the rest will be completed early next year.
OVTC makes use of its former trainees from the various trades ranging from bricklaying and plastering, electrical general to plumbing and pipefitting to conclude on the undertaken projects.
The projects are at, Green Leaves Primary School, Mountain View Secondary School, Mix Settlement Project School, Monte Cristo Project School and two in Groot Aub which is in the Windhoek Rural constituency of the Khomas region.
The Okakarara Vocational Training Centre has the Welding & Metal Fabrication Production Unit and the Clothing Production Unit in Okakarara. The production units are open to the public through the Projects Coordinator's Office, Mr. Marvin Kaihiva can be reached on 067 317 069.
